Fruit Gardeners Wanted!

Contribute to the maintenance and development of a regionally significant 6 acre Fruit Garden located just West of Mount Vernon, WA. Volunteering in the Fruit Garden is a great way to learn about growing fruit, make friends and help the community!

Desired:
Knowledge of or interest in growing fruit
Desire to grow great fruit
Desire to learn and do pruning

Required
An interest in growing fruit
Adventurous palate

The more you attend the more you learn!

Garden tasks include the following: Tree and blueberry pruning, fruit thinning, drip irrigation installation, netting, grass mowing, weeding and mulching, pest and disease control and espalier construction.

Our current work parties meet on Thursdays (9:00 AM to noon) throughout the season.

If you would like to volunteer, but the distance or schedule doesn’t work out, you can donate to the Volunteer Helper fund and your donation will help hire students to do weeding and other tasks in the Fruit Garden.
