Peach x Almond Crosses

(E5, V 28 planted 2018) This is a self fertile peach x almond. It is a great disease resistant ornamental loaded with beautiful pink blossoms. The tree, though less vigorous than the variety Hall’s Hardy, grows bigger than the true almonds to about 15 tall. The nuts are very hard shelled and of stronger flavor than true almonds. These peach x almonds have some cyanic acid and should not be eaten in large amounts without boiling them in water and then discarding the water.
