WWFRF Fruit Garden Volunteers

Fruit Gardeners Wanted!

WWFRF is looking for volunteers to contribute to the maintenance and development of a regionally significant 7 acre Fruit Garden located just West of Mount Vernon, WA.

Knowledge of fruit trees
Desire to grow great fruit
Desire to learn and do pruning

An unconditional passion for fruit
Adventurous palate
Frequent attendance

Opportunities to associate with knowledgeable fruit growers
Gain an in-depth education in pruning, disease and pest control

Garden tasks include the following: Tree and blueberry pruning, fruit thinning, drip irrigation installation, netting, grass mowing and mulching, pest and disease control and espalier construction.

Our current work parties meet on Thursdays (9:00 AM to noon) throughout the season.
